Metro Train transportation is being considered prestigious by developing countries these days in Infrastructure field. India is also developing day to day and achieving considerable growth rate. Running Metro Projects:
In India there are 10 metro projects in cities Delhi, Bangalore, Gurgoan, Jaipur, Mumbai Metro, Mumbai Monorail, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and the Hyderabad Metro.Under Proposal Metro Projects :
The Metro projects which are under proposal are Bhopal Metro, Indore Metro, Pune Metro, Guwahathi Metro, Meerut Metro, Thiruvanathapuram Light Metro, Bhuvaneswar Monorail projects.
Hyderabad Metro :
Hyderabad is one of the largest cities in World. It is well known for its Software Hubs. The dream of Metro Project for Hyderabad has come to an end. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday i.e., on 28th November will inaugurate the Metro Project, and it will be in Pubic commercial operation from the following day of 29th November.
Hyderabad Metro is the World's largest Public Private Partner (PPP) in sector. In May 2007 Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited was Formed. In 2008 September, an agreement was made between the Andhra Pradesh (combined) and L&T. This agreement states the private sector operator invests 90% of the project value. At the end of the project the value was estimated as 16375 crore (approximately) where L&T invested an amount of 13000 crore. The buzz was that the amount has peaked a bit higher than the estimate value.
The project implementing company L&T MRH with Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited and Government of India will enjoy 35years of concession.
Route and Fare of Metro:
In The phase 1 Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited, at a stretch Nagole to Ameerpet covering 17km distance and from Ameerpet to Miyapur covering 13km. This routes will be opened to public from the day after Inauguration connecting both ends of the city.
After Inauguration of Metro Rail service starts at 2:25 pm in Miyapur station, the Prime Minister along with Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana will travel in Metro from Miyapur to Kukatpally covering 5km distance.
